I'm already frustrated with birds out on state. The birds at Knox worked so well this weekend I hoped my duaghter would get her state birds as well, but that was not the case. We went out to a farm Sunday about 10:00 that I have hunted and killed birds on for many years. The feilds were full of strutting birds. We set up about 200 yards from 3 strutting birds that had some hens 1 gobbler had nothing he was just walkind around. I made a few soft yelps and it look like the KY derby to the woods going away from us. 20 min. after that the gobblers started gobbling at the thunder. Set up agian and nothing. The third set up was on 2 gobblers and 3 hens. Made a few clucks and it was over. It may just be the hens won't tolerate the competition I don't know but this is how these birds acted all year last year.:confused:
