Starting today there is a slot limit on Paintsville Lake. Most fisherman are for this and hope that it helps the quality of fish in the near future. Other than the slot limit what has the Dept. Of Fish & Wildlife done to improve fishing on this lake? Many of us would like to see more small mouth bass released in the lake with the restrictions of catch and release for a few years to increase the population.
How about it Dept. Of Fish & Wildlife Life, will you consider this and other measures to improve fishing on Paintsville Lake.
Also, are live wells being checked for legal/illegal fish?

Fortress, you know our CO is out there checking those live wells. There needs to be something done to protect what land we currently have in use as a WMA at Paintsville Lake , I don't think there will be very horseback riders buying deer & turkey tags and I know golfing doesn't pay for fish & wildlife???

High bow I hope that your first statement was sarcasm and as far as the horseback riders buying deer and turkey tags your wrong, most of those people are hunters and fisher persons and If the (department) had done what their lease called for we wouldn't have to worry about a golf course or anything else happening of Auxier Flats. If you have any doubt I've got a copy of that lease. And would be happy to share it with you. The small mouth program that fortress is talking about is, or I should say all ready in it's first stage of writings. I hope you can help us with this, it will make Paintsville Lake and Kentucky a better place to fish.

Birdman, yes it was a joke, I don't understand the part of what the Dept. was suppose to do??? I know a few of the horseback people and was raised showing horses myself but with the property that is already closed to hunting available why would think that its better to give up our hunting land?
