I have seen 2 quite large coyote while turkey hunting this year one stood about twenty yards from my blind i have never hunted them but i think it would give me some good points with the landowner if i killed a few my question is here in late may early june is a fawn in distress a good call to use to get them in rifle range and what is better set up in feilds which i was when turkey hunting or in the woods i here lots of coyote on this land every morning when hunting i know there are a lot on this farm and whith the goats and cattle the landowner raises he has told me to kill all i see i dont know what to do with them i usally only kill what i can eat ( and i aint eatin dog lol ) i guess ill skin em and give them to the landowner to make his day (and secure future permission to hunt.[:D]

You are in the same predicament as me. I saw them while turkey hunting and i was thinking of using a fawn in distress call as well. THe fawns are born in early may so I would assume that would be the way to go this time of year. The field is probably the best bet for a rifle. It is difficult to get the coyote in for a close shot in the woods. Where ya hunting these varmits at? Good luck!

Deadaim,
Fawn distress call works well, rabbit, turkey, etc., also.
They are busy trying to feed new litter.
Shootem',puttem' in a sink hole![}:)]
They have thin summer coats now. Fur has no value.
You skin and bring one of those "stinkenaus" things to my door, I'll run you off the property![}:)][:D]
