I was wandering what type of choke you guys use or prefer? I recently purchased a Mossberg 935 and was wanting to get an after market choke tube. Your comments will be helpfull.

Kicks Gobblin' Thunder, no doubt. Im sure alot of guys can agree with me here. IMO, its the best turkey choke ever made. It patterns real tight, and is good with the right shell out to 65 yards. Last spring, my dad killed a nice bird at 59 yards with it.

I use a Comp-N-Choke in .655 on a 1300.
I have (2) Comp-N-Choke tubes. I love them and the customer service is second to none. I highly recommend them to anyone in the market for a choke tube.

Maybe one of guys can tell, I was talking today to a guy about my Hastings barrell, he said that remington choke tubes were the same thread as Hastings choke tubes and should interchange. Do they?

Amen!!!
I use the Rhino tube and nitro ammo and Im totally sold!
Ive shot Hastings,Comp n Choke, Briley, rifled turkey chokes, ported, non ported, and extended. With I dont know how many different loads out of automatics and pumps. Ive spent literally hundreds if not over a thousand dollars trying to get a gun that will kill a turkey out to 60 yards 100% of the time.
The Nitro shells with a Rhino tube are by far and away the cheapest and best perfoming "system" I have ever shot. Those that have seen my test patterns always go to Nitro to get a tube and a box of shells. The best part is it takes one phone call and about a half dozen shots to prove it to your self........You will not doubt there is anything any better....
Out of my Barretta Extrema 3.5:
At 40 yards I put over 300 pieces of shot in a 8.5 x 11 in. piece of paper.
At 20 yards it will leave a whole just a bit bigger than a baseball.
At 75 yards it will consistantly put 12-18 shot in the vitals of a turkeys head......

Guys that have the Rhino choke tube and is using Nitro shells, did you send your gun to them or did you just buy the choke tube and shells from them. It sounds high to me but I guess it would be worth it if one happen to hang up on you out 60 to 75 yards.
Im not for sure if im ready to spend that much money. Maxcam could you post some pictures if you still have them to help persuade me into this, lol.
As for the Hevi shot, can every gun handle this load? I know it says no steel shot in the 935.
Sorry for so many questions.

I have a 935 I bought last year and used the factory choke which wasnt real impressive despite many loads tried. I am a little too tight to spend big money on the brand name chokes so I bought one of the stardot chokes made for the 935. I havent shot it yet so We will see. Ihav read good results from them from different folks on the net. It is a .67, I am sure it wont compare to some of these 80.00 choke tubes but for 15.00 if its an improvemt over the factory I'll be happy. I see in a few weeks. I might have wasted 15.00. Bownewby

I have a mossberg 835 I bought in 1997, and I still use the factory accu mag choke with federal 3 1/2 # 6 shot. I have no complaints with this choke. It patterns excellent with the federal ammo.
I have killed 5 turkeys over the years, and shot 5 shots, the longest being
around 48 yards.

Give the folks at Nitro a call.....Ask them if they garrantee what they claim......
All I did was look at what some very good guns were shooting. At 40 yards they were shooting anywhere from 190-220 Pellets in a 8X11.5 sheet of paper. The Nitro website will tell you what to expect in a 10 inch circle.....My Berretta extrema puts around 340.......or about 33% more shot....That is heavier than lead! All I did was buy the Rhino and the shells.....They can and do offer services that will make your gun shoot even better.....
I dont have any pics sorry.......Just try to imagine what a lava ball the size of a baseball would to a sheet and that will tell you what my gun does at 20 yards.......

I have a Mossberg 500, the day I bought it I picked up two after market chokes to test. To my surprise the factory choke did better than both of them.

Mad Calls SuperMax from a Benelli Nova 3 1/2 inch with Win Supremes #5 puts the factory choke to shame. The guy I bought it from said bring it back if it doesn't improve the pattern. Least to say, I won't be taking it back.

I wish I could try all of them and find one my gun likes. Im still unsure which one to try.
Do any of you guys have any that your gun didn't like that would be willing to let me try out or buy off of you?
