[:)][:D]Well, Sadly I was Skunked again today as I posted in the "Official Skunked thread" I'll say though, WoW What a morning I had. I was covered in mud, soaking wet, & had the time of my life[:o)]

I went w/ a Buddy to his place and like clockwork at daylight Gobble, Gobble coming from all directions. We tried several set-ups and really worked the birds good. The last set-up I really thought I was finally gonna nail me a bird until the ol' hens showed up (5 or 6 at least). I watched a nice Gobbler swell up & strut for over an hour, and off to my left several Jakes doing their best to impress the ladies as well. They just would not come in. I'm so hooked right now, I got the fever bad. This ranks as one of my favorite times out hunting! I've never heard so many birds going crazy all morning like I did today.[:)]

[:D] 10 Feet! I don't know what I'd do!!!! We had em' bout 60-70 yards today, Them Dang hens messed us up. don't remember such an exciting time though. The only thing that could have made that water logged, muddy walk back beter would've been toting that ol' Gobbler on my shoulder[:)] Like I said, The time of my life!

try passing on the morning hunt go in after lunch i bet by then Mr Longbeard be one lonely bird.....shouldnt take much calling to coax him to the gun

I just found out today, My Buddys Dad went back to the same area later that afternoon & heard nothing, No action at all. To say the least I'm shocked, as hot as those birds were.[?]
