Ok guys, my friend and I were down from PA for the first week of the KY season. We bought the Non-Resident License and one Spring Turkey Permit each.

Would this allow us the 2 turkey limit that is permitted by KY or would we each have had to bought a second Spring Turkey Permit in order to get the 2 birds that are allowed?

We each got one bird on the first Thursday and were planning on hunting Friday morning and then leaving for home on Friday around noon. Thursday evening, we were talking to hunter who was from Ohio and he told us that in order to kill the 2 birds allowed by law, we would have to purchase 2 Spring Turkey Permits, as a permit is required for each turkey allowed. Was he right?

Anyway, we decided that since we were only hunting 1/2 a day and then leaving, it was not worth the $20.00 for the second permit so we just left when we got up on Friday a.m.

We would like to get it straight though since we will probably come back next year. I emailed this question to the KY Game & Fish Dept. but have not yet gotten an answer.

Can anyone help me out?

Yep! RutNBuck is correct. You are allowed two birds. I have to buy non-resident license to hunt my farm in KY, so I know from experience.
