They gobble on roost then clam-up about 6:30. I hear no hen calls at all, morning, noon or night. The tom's only gobbles after they leave the roost are shock calls, mostly to crows (or thunder). They are totally blowing off my calls. Not one responce in two days. Almost bushwacked a big tom about 3:30 in the afternoon. He shock called to a crow while about 50 yards from me. I was on a log road, he was below me in a cut-over. I took a peek at him from behind a turned-up stump and gave a little "momma wants company" call. He completely blew me off and continued feeding. What gives? Is the party over for the year? This time last week they'd chase you up a tree!

Much the same for me also, I've had a few "Talks" w/ a Gobbler, but not many.
