Quick Question, Why would recomended planting dates vary greatly
in a few mile span? Imperial products recomends Feb 1-April 15 for spring planting in KY. However in Southern IL they recomend March 20-May 15. My Farm in Ballard is located as the crow flies only a scant few miles from IL. The dates vary about the same from here (KY) to MO also.

Thanks[:D]

Most depend on soil moisture and soil tempatures. Guidlines are just guidelines, the dates depend on the season. In other words, it might be earlier or later than what is in the guide, depending?

[:D]Thanks Multi, So from what I can tell, Sound personal
judgement and those "guidelines" should be used when deciding
to plant before or after those specified dates[?]

I don't think it's too late to plant clover, but if it turned real dry or extra hot, then it would be too late. I'd try it, but it's up to you.

[:D] Thanks, Here lately I don't think "Dry" is gonna be a problem....
I planted a small patch in the later part of March and it's 6"-8" tall, is that normal progression? I planted a little a week and a half ago, it seems to be coming up nice also.

Clover germinates fast, but needs time to root before it gets dry. It'll just about stop growing late in the summer. You should be good on both those patches. You will need to mow it back later on.
