Has anyone seen the news that Hodgdon is putting the clean burning Tripple 7 loose powder in pellet form? I am currently using the Pyrodex pellets from Hodgdon in both of my muzzle loaders with great results. However, I will have to switch and try the new Triple 7 pellets.

They may not be available yet. I saw some publicity on them last fall, but haven't seen any so far. Talked with Hodgdon in February and they just said it would be avaiable this year. I suspect 777 pellets will be THE hot item this fall.

This isn't the powder that was restricted to certain types of muzzleloaders is it?

This is a black powder substitue made by Hodgdon, the same folks who make Pyrodex pellets. Supposed to be much cleaner & without sulphur which attracts moisture. It can be used in any M/L. It is available now in powder form, but it's release in pellet form will make it easier to use & anticipated by a lot of folks.
