I was watching the history channel this evening at work on break, and a show comming up with something about "Bible Codes" came on and how the world will end on 2012. to me this is very disturbing and gets you thinking so I checked out what I could find about Bible Codes on the net. You need to read this and tell me what your feelings are about this? Is it armageddon?

I agree KSP, this type of stuff is very disturbing. I will say this though, there has been alot of predictions as to when the world will end over the years and thus far none of them have been right.

I didn't even read that, but I will say that I'm almost 30 years old and this type of crap has been going on my entire life. Every year someone says the same thing. Someone predicted hundreds of years ago that the world would end this year and the war in Iraq is proof of Armageddon.
IMHO, without trying to ruffle any feathers I personally think this type of stuff is just something religious freaks and conspiracy theorist do to draw attention to themselves. It's kind of like the boy who cried wolf too many times. If someone didn't say it every single year, I might give it some more credit.

I'd say this myth is busted. Fiction.

Some people have way too much time on their hands....

And besides, if you are right with your beliefs who cares???

well said pooge. I'm not in a hurry but I am ready. The thought of the eastern sky splitting open and seeing the legs of a white horse don't sound tooo bad to me. I cherish that day. and its a coming.

Crazy but I am able to retire in 2017. I guess I have lived my purpose here on earth. I was hoping to start my camping/fishing/ and hunting dreams then.
When I saw it last night and they started giving all the predictions that have happened and will happen it just gets you thinking. As for the year 2012 well I guess if that is the way it is supposed to happen with a Giant comet burning bright then so be it. But can you imagine the mass caotic events, total violence that would happen. Almost like the movie "armagedon".
Thinking and knowing of this makes you realize life is so precious. Thank you for all your thoughts.

Live your life like every day is your last. You can't be perfect, but you can be forgiven. All you have to do is hear, confess, and believe.

Well we have to look at this way, there is nothing any of us can do about it if it is to happen, but live life to the fullest, take care of our family's, and hope everything that they predict will not come true, but if it does ,it was time for our tickets to life to be punched!!!!:) :) :D

Look on the bright side of it--you won't have to file your tax return for that year.

Anyone remember the Y2K scare?

Well if the world ends in 2006 I hope I get a vacation before then.

One of the weirdest EOTW predictions I remember reading about is the Mayan calendar, supposedly the most accurate calendar ever created or something. I believe it ends abruptly at a point in 2012 or thereabouts, just stops, for no known reason. Maybe those old Indians knew something we don't.

No man knoweth the day or the hour of the Lord's return. However, thru prophecy and the events foretold in the Bible, we can see the time getting closer. It shouldn't be something for us to worry about, unless you don't know Jesus Christ as your personal savior. Here is something to ponder. If you knew tomorrow was the coming of the savior, what would you do? Who would you tell? We need to live our lives as if the Lord should appear to take us home at any minute. Most importantly, who is it that we haven't shared the wonderful news of Jesus Christ with? The last command that Jesus gave his disciples was the Great Commission. Go into all the world and spread the news of Jesus' death, resurrection, and his return. My biggest concern aside from my own personal salvation is the loved ones around me that do not know Jesus or those that I can share Jesus with. Thank God for this forum, what a perfect opportunity to share your experiences and walk with the Lord.:)

Well said and youhit it on the head end of the nail perfectly. THe day of Jesus's return is soon but no man here on earth can predict it or say when it will come.
