I've not been impressed by the damage that I seen with some of the sabots that I have used in the past. I was wondering if someone could suggest a alternative.
Thanks

Contrary to what my "handle" indicates, I do have one in-line ML. Eight years ago I spent the best part of the spring and summer developing a load that would deliver the best 3 shot group at 100 yards. My gun is a TC Black Diamond 1:28 twist. This is what I settled on. A 300 grain Hornady XTP enclosed in a green MMP sabot. Using 130 grains of Goex blackpowder covered by a Wonder Wad, this load combination will deliver 1" groups from a bench and sandbags. I have taken several deer with this setup and all but one dropped in their tracks. The one deer walked about 15 yards and laid down. He was 165 yards out and field dressed 192 lbs.

I shoot a TC in-line muzzle loader w/ a 1 in 28 inch twist. My load is pretty simple but it seems to work for me. I use 85 grains Pyrodex FFFG powder with a 240 grain TC XTP tip sabot. I've only harvested two deer with it but it seems to get the job done.
PS. Its accurate too.
