I have 5 Browning A-Bolts Black and Stainless. .243, 7mm08, 270, 300 Win Mag, and 338 Win Mag. I love them all and will never sell them. They cycle faster due to the 60 degree bolt throw and are super smooth. I have only fired 1 Tikka chambered in 30.06. It was a nice rifle, but I liked the A-Bolts better. :D

Tika is the most accurate out of the box production rifle money can buy period. Some Savage rifles will shoot as well. The Browning rifles are more popular here and across the US and will probably hold resale better. A lot of guys in my area have no idea what a Tika is and would think it was a generic off brand!

I'm not saying you won't get a good shootin stick from Browning. They make high quality stuff, but Tika is not bothered by the US lawyers that have caused all of the American manufacturers to run with fear. If you handload, Tika will allow you more room for seating a bullet close to the lands. The Brownings I've dealt with, relatively few, I might add had close fits...nothing like as bad as Remington but close none-the-less.

I'm also not saying that you won't get a bad Tika, but I've never heard about one. Everyone I've dealt with will shoot sub MOA...I can't say that for ANY other manufacturer.

I don't think you could go wrong with Tikka or Sako. They're made in Finnland
or some I saw were anyway.

Brownings are nice no doubt, but for the $$$ buy a Savage with the accu-trigger, do a little adjustment on the # of trigger pull, top it off with a good scope, and you have one of the most accurate factory rifles you can possibly get.All of my A-bolts are very good guns , but cant hold a candle to any of my Savage Guns. Just my opinion.

Tikka is now owned by Beretta, don't know if they are still made in Finland or not. Some of the Tikkas have been recalled because of safety issues, supposedly the barrel walls are too thin or something and the barrels can rupture. I don't know if this is an ongoing issue or if it has been resolved yet, just read about it last year somewhere or another.

acctually it wasnt the barrels being to thin,it was the stainless barrels only, and it was caused from the iron they used to make the barrels, the mixtue was off or it was a bad mix...

Have no probs with the browning. You can always find a better gun if you are willing to spend. But my browning a bolt 300 win has performed just fine. imo

I would go with a browning , I seen one that would shoot .25 groups at 130 yds, most custom guns that cost thousands of dollars wont do better!!!! Calibers 7-08,308,300wsm etc.

I havent had any experience with the Tikka so I cant compare but I do like the A-Bolts. They have a nice balanced feel to me and are accurate out of the box. They have stiff triggers but a Timney trigger spring kit fixes that.

I love my abolt..325. I wouldn't trade it for any other rifle...very acurate and easy to take apart and clean.

I was gonna buy a tikka T3 until I seen one up close...the stock looks like some kind of kids gun and I'm not a big fan of the plastic magazine. I stick with my SS A-bolt.
