Yes I have caught a coyote on a rod and reel. It was in Baja about 20 years ago, got this crazy idea and did it. It was getting dark and my fishing partner had nothing better to do, so we rigged up a 6-0 with 60 lb test with a trible hook, ( took the barbs off) and put it on a rockcod rod. We waited tell dark and put some meat on it, set the clicker and set it about 50 yards or so from the truck. Then we went to sleep, sometime in the middle of the night the clicker went off, bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz and I had me a coyote all pissed off, running, jumping, flipping in the air. About 20 min. went by and I had it at the truck, now what do I do???? Catch and release of course, I cut the line and the coyote ran off.

we hunt for housecats by setting out some old tuna fish still in the can, and wait for the little buggers to slide right in, then boom, blow em in half
