Email to a reply to a topic or thread you post

I think that Fishin.com does a good job of using an email system setup when you make a post or a reply. You can click an option bar that sends you an email when your topic or thread to a topic is replied to. I think that kentuckyhunting.com should thinl about trying to set something like that up.

other forums use this too but it can also be a pain try getting like 60 emails in one day...

You are indeed correct gsp ... that feature is available.

The reason that we haven't ever turned it on is due to the load and stress it would place on the server.

I will look into it and we may give it a try for a couple of days to see if things slow down too much.

I will let you all know what is decided.

Okay ... I have enabled the Topic Level subscriptions. You can look in the FAQ's to get more information on using the feature.

The only place that a slow down would be noticed is while posting to a thread. If you all notice significant slow downs let me know and we will have to turn the feature off.

Remember ... if you subscribe to a topic you will get an email every time someone posts a reply. For example 100 replies ... 100 emails.
