Indiana ranks 8th in the nation in auto colisions:

Though it is one of the few things that is not being touted as the fault of high fence hunting it might be part of the issue!

Purists insisting that anyone wanting to hunt should pay their dues and learn the hard way.

This is a good ploy for keeping the compitition low and solitude in the woods high, but it is not keeping the deer herds in check!

While hunters celebrate the fact that they now have high bag limits for deer, Indiana hunters can now bag up to 40 deer) the fact is most hunters will not shoot more than one or two deer since they have little or no way of utilizing the meat.

So while the bravado rings with "real men only hunt free and wild" and "we hunters control the deer herd" the fact is they may be "too high on their dwindling numbers" and there is getting to be "too much of a good thing"!

Meanwhile shooting preserves have served to introduce good numbers of young and inexperienced folks to the basics of hunting.

"At least where they are allowed to operate!"

Michigan and Ohio are ahead of Indiana and they have fenced hunting.

Your point is what?

Another of my points is: It generally takes a lot of them to solve a problem!
