View Full Version : Drink a beer while fishing

Not sure if you know this or not , but if a C.O. stops you on public waters in the state of Kentucky and you have a open beer either on the shore or in the boat you are leaveing yourself open for a ticket.

This is in the fishing rule book.

Yeah, I knew that. But I learned the hard way. Luckily he just made me pour it out and no ticket. He said I would of got a ticket if I would have showed some attitude. The problem was I just opened that beer and we were almost out.

id say you were pretty lucky for sure. i think the days of "just pour it out" are pretty much gone for good

Yeah; It's been a long time since I've heard that!!!!! It's happened to me before too,.... Things have changed alot. Going to the lake around here ain't what it used to be!

it's called poor man law, if your on the boat drinking, and you don't have a downstairs on your boat you will get a ticket. and if you have a big enough boat that has one then you can drink. a room on the baot in more expensive then a boat with out. THE POOR MAN LAW!!. sucks doesn't it?
