Does anyone know where the Remington Factory is located in Kentucky. I just saw that it was mentioned in this month's issue ofOutdoor life. It was talking about the 710 and some of the problems they have had with the gun and also some of the changes that the company had made to the 710.
Thanks,

I am pretty sure it is just off Hwy 62 on the west side of E-town. Multidigits would probably know ? I saw a larger size building down there with Remington banners hanging on it about 2 yrs ago.

R and D is in Etown. Factory is in Mayfield -- far west KY. Make the autoloader .22 there.

Never owned one but I heard there were some serious quality control issues with this economy line - mechanically unsound triggers and bolts, overall cheapness making them just a PITA to use. Don't know if true or not, just what I heard. Remington took a beating there for several years on quality in basically all their rifle lines, but most folks still seem to love them. Its funny, I've owned a boatload of rifles but for some reason have never had a Remmington centerfire. Their new version of the 700 is supposed to be very nice but pricy.

Rem has replaced the composite receiver with a steel one.

they should have done that in the first place. But they were probably afraid they would create another 788 and kill the sales of the 700
