Has anybody seen a mossberg model 195k-a 12 guage bolt action shotgun?
this gun has a 2 shell clip .I'm looking to find a replacement stock for this gun.I'm thinking it would make a great deer gun...short and lightweight. any
suggestions?

Try these guys. They have a pretty good selection of mossberg bolt action stocks.

To make this a really slick slugster, you might want to cut the barrel to remove the c-lect-choke on some models or remove the choking from the barrel. It's got to be longer than 18". This is measured from the bolt face (closed) to the muzzle. I'd cut it off to 21 or so to be safe. If you go the hacksaw route, scribe the barrel all the way around, using a flexible straightedge. Once cut, deburr the inside of the barrel and CAREFULLY file the muzzle flat. This can be accomplished with a fine file and a machinest's square. Place the square along the barrel and file carefully until the muzzle is square to the barrel everywhere you lay the square. Then add the sights you want and blast away. I'd consider soldering steel scope mounts to the receiver. This can be done with Brownell's force 44 solder, which can be melted with a propane torch but is plenty hard and will hold. You can have a smith drill and tap it as well. Of course, if you REALLY want to get right, you can glass bed the receiver and float the barrel. This gun can be tuned up just like a rifle if you really must have a tack driver. But then again, I can spend your money freely.

Thanks , i went to havlins and they have a replacement stock for $75.00 unfinished .The gun was given to me by my fatherinlaw whom passed away a few yrs back and i want to try to fix it backup .I do know mossberg quit making these in 1962 so i'm a bit leary of shooting at this time until i take to a gunsmith and have it checked out....if it pans out that the barrel is in good shape then i'll make a slug gun out of it and mount a scope as well .Thanks again
