Anybody know of a good lawn grass that will withstand the summer sun, besides fescue? I am looking to kill the fescue in my yard and replant a good lawn grass that my bunnies can eat. I have about 3 acres of yard and a lot of fescue to replace, but with what I don't know yet.

Another grass that I've used with the two mentioned previously is perennial ryegrass. It seems to last pretty well. I've also used orchardgrass in shady areas for ground cover. Clover would be good interseeded with these grasses too.

You might try the bio-logic prenniel blend. Rabbits love it more than deer, from what I've seen. You'd be the only one in Indiana with a biologic front yard probably. The best part is you won't have to cut it but about 3 times all summer.
