I was curious if anyone has ever seen a Bare-Throated Tiger-Heron? I think they are a native of Mexico. Several years ago while doing a foot patrol, I heard something up on the hillside above my location. Keep in mind that it was approximately 1:30 am, misting slightly, and the wind was blowing. I seen a strange bird wondering through the brush and briars. I did not know what type of bird it was and I lost sight of it. Today I seen a photograph of the Tiger-Heron and it triggered my memory. The bird that I seen resembles the Heron. I know it is extremely unlikely that the Heron migrated from Mexico to eastern Kentucky. I was wondering if there are any birds in KY or in neighboring states that resemble the Tiger-Heron? BTW, the bird I seen was not an Emu(sp?) or an ostrich.

Are you sure you weren't hitting the bong a little hard that day? or maybe you were dreaming about Multidigits?

Notice how they like to stand on a leaning surface---pretty common in Eastern Ky. This one happens to be looking to the left as two of his country men drive by on K's ATV's, heading bck to the old country. :D

I have seen the Bare throated tiger heron in Costa Rica.

I can't believe you are enlarging Multi's ego anymore than it already is. The world does not need a more cocky Multidigits. I am leaving now because I am being tempted to make a play on words.

"A Robust, cocky, and unique bird" I thought this was about that tiger heron.....But evidentally it's about Multi's "heron";)
