Taking a break from my recurve going back to a compound.
Looking for a good fiber optic sight. I know they are a lot of good sights out there..
Low light for hunting and target shooting with 3 to5 pins.

I use a trophy ridge matrix guide series it has 5 vertical pins and holds light really good, I myself really like it. It sells for around $129.00 I think.

there is a long list of archery sights out there. i use spott hogg sights, but extreme, and copper john make a very good sight as well. i have seen the trophy ridge sights, the concept is good, but the durability of the pin holders seemed a little suspect. the one i looked at had a plastic pin holder, i would opt for aluminum or steel. impact is a very bright sight, but i only a benefit in low light conditions, in very bright light, you might get a halo effect around the pin/pins, and not be able to see past them. larger or small pin gaps doesnt seem to matter. this is true with most fixed pin sights.

i would get a sight that is micro adjust, imo they are far easier to set up, and adjust. i know they have more moving parts, but todays technology eleminates a lot of the goofy things that used to happen with micro adjustability.

i would definately look at a sight i could mount a light on, but keep in mind a bright light on fixed pins in low light conditions can cause your pupil to dialate. you may not be able to see past your pins. i tape over the end of my light, allowing a small ray of light to actually hit my pins. most lights are overkill on brightess for hunting aplications. extreme makes a light called the purple haze. it is very soft light, but havent used it on a hunting rig in low light.

I'll agree with Keith, I shoot the Copper John Dead Nutts , Spott Hog does make a good sight.

Cobra Sidewinder 3 or 5 pin. They don't get any brighter than this site.

Gotta go with Lab, I shoot the Cobra Sidewinder 3 pin. I'd dare say it is one of, if not the brightest fiber optic out there. Tried a lot of the others and the Cobra gathers AND holds light better than any other sight that I have seen. I hunt and shoot 3D w/it and love it. I took 2 whitetails shooting this sight last fall and both were shot at first light. Didn't have any trouble seeing the pins, took longer to pick a spot on the critter due to the pin's brightness in low light!

I shoot with the Cobra Sidewinder Radiant and I absolutely love it. I can't imagine needing any more sight that what it offers. And the price is much better than some of the other good ones. The radiant has the purple UV light on it and man does it ever make those pins glow in the dark. I have drawn my bow outside in the dark to check out how effective the UV light is, and I had no trouble seeing beyond the pins.

i like the idea of keeping my dollars in the state and plus they are a awesome sight so i go with the extreme a lil pricey but worth every dime i gave for em i shoot a .019 pins to hunt so their purple haze light is a plus.
