You got a tobacco patch nearby? I think those are called hummingbird moths and are what tobacco worms turn into when they grow up.

Don't know that I've ever seen any around here. They take their tobacco serious here though and I can't say that I've found too many worms in it when I've had the displeasure of spending some long, hot days in a tobacco patch.

Pretty cool.

Dude. One of those flew into the window at work and we thought it was a bat. The women freaked out and ran around screaming and I was chasing it around with a broom :D That was the biggest damn moth I've ever seen. It was HUGE! Glad someone knows what it was.

we have abou ten of them fling around my wife flowers every night she thought they were cool until she found out there young will eat her flowers!!!!!!!
