Some guy used to sell some at a local archery shop that were made from old files. Pretty sweet looking dudes. Not sure how they lasted, but they were unique. Towards the handle, he would even leave some of the mill marks. Couldn't really feel them, but you could just see them.

Absolutely had nothing to do with your question, but I just thought of it. :)
