The other coworkers sayno cause it doesn't say anything about baiting for deer ,just say baiting for turkey 30 days before. Was wondering who is right. If i am could you please tell me where the reg is so i can show him. Thank you.

It's legal to bait for deer, but not legal for turkey.

You can't bait deer on WMAs but you can on private land.

Never was a change. It has not been against the law.

The change to ban WMA baiting was changed about 2 years ago.

Hey GSP, did that change include salt blocks?

Salt is considered the same as bait. It's legal for deer, but not for turkey hunting.

But not on a WMA. You can not use salt or bai on a WMA.

How do you know what I meant to say??? Salt is bait, and you can't bait on most WMA's. You can bait statewide for deer but not turkeys. Ft. Knox is one exception to that, where they provide the salt blocks to the area guides each year. In other words, Kyscout loses the bet.

I didn't loose the bet, cause there never was one. Just a disagreement between coworkers.
In my oppion thou wish is was illegal to bait for deer. Just doesn't sound ethical to me. Thats my 2 cents worth.
