Well boys and girls, I embarked on a new career today -- host of my own fishing show!

It's not a done deal yet, but I'm sure there are only a few technicalities to work out. I auditioned for the "Host Your Own Fishing Show" promotion when the Outdoor Channel visited Murray today with their traveling studio, "Motor Moose."

The moose is supposed to be in Bowling Green tonight, then work it's way up thru Glasgow, Crestwood, Shelbyville, and Louisville. Ya'll ought to give it a shot, too. :D :D :D

Mossy, good luck. I saw the request for those who wanted to host a hunting show too. I'm not wealthy enough to just give up what I have and embark on such a program. Glad someone can.

I see Mossy, I thought you were going for a fulltime series deal. Have fun if you get the selection.

I saw the truck/trailer getting on I-65 in Bowling Green tonight. Asked my wife "how cool would it be to work for TOC?" :D :D

Mossy, will you have to wear a cap with big moosehorns sticky out the side?:D

I interviewed tonight. I think I am in.

I did put in a good word for you Mossy, I told them you should at least get 2nd place. They weren't too impressed when I told them that you were a wildlife violator and tresspasser though! :D

do you mean all this time that we have been bumping keyboards with an almost celebrity??

just kidding
I hope you get the job,
if that's your desire.

I think that would be an awesome job to have,
especially to be paid for something you truly enjoy!!

Mossy, I wish you the best of luck with the show. Don't forget about us here at the forum when you become famous! :)

Mossy,

When you said "new Career" I thought you were going back to your former job of dancing with the Chipendales! Yeah, I know you make good money at that but it is so degrading when women just look at us men like a piece of meat or somthing. I know I always feel cheap & dirty afterwards. But, if you do decide to do that, I really like your idea of having your thongs made out of the new, high-definition Break Up. That should appeal to the country girls. Oh, and just one bit of advice, I wouldn't start until that Robert Mapplethorp convention is over.

OK, some of you "brighter bulbs" have figured it out. As part of a promotion, the Outdoor Channel has a couple of truck/trailer rigs touring the country visiting cable outlets and outdoor shows. THey have a little camera set up in the trailer and encourage everyone to do a 2 minute "audition." They pick one winner per year. I went over and did a story on them for the local paper.

Thank you all for the nice comments anyway. GSP, my favorite hat already has moosehorns sticking out each side. Don't know why they would be bothered by that, WBBP -- they air Jimmy Houston, don't they???? (JUST KIDDING!)

Rob -- time to change your medication again.

Naw, if you ever see me on TV, it will be right after Robert Stack says: "Have you seen this man?"

Mossy,

I hope you get a shot- you already have a talent for the writing end. Good luck!

Don't you actually have to have the talent for catching fish to be considered for something like that? :D ;)

Rob...... that post made me shudder when I read it.... I will probably have nightmares tonight because of it and quite possibly be scarred for life.

I think we could do a pretty good imitation of an outdoor show for the local yocal cable channel if we were asked nicely Mossy. :D

He already holds the patent on the Mossyhorn Turkey Exterminator........

which to me looks eerily similar to a hickory stick, but......

He swears the field testing has proven it to be a resounding success.

Even does what 3 rounds of 3 1/2" magnum shot will not...

:D :D :D

Was going to market that limb after "2004: The Year of the Stick!", but it doesn't meet KDFWR specs.

GSP, you've been talking to my wife again, haven't you.

At this stage in the game, I'd do almost anything if asked nicely. ("asked nicely" being defined as asked to accept a mule-choking wad of cash as compensation.)

I would have to pass on the fishing show and wait til they offered me a hunting show.

Mossy, with that reputation before you they will sure pick you for one of the spots or baits or at least a guide.
