I, um, "dated" a chick for a little while that rode em. Don't know if that counts or not. :D
Rutnut why did you get rid of your Harley?
I used to have people try to get me down there all the time when I had my sport bikes but thats too damn far to ride a crotch rocket for a boy my size.... I thought Deals Gap was primarily for sport bikes? If I had a HD, the last place I'd want to be is in the turns. I will say that I have known plenty of people who have went down at the gap, it can be one hell of a dangerous place..

If Auk can count his "biker chick", then I can count the "biker guy" that I dated for a while too! :D He had a REALLY nice bike!

you dont have to worry on a hd the pipes will catch on one side and the running boards on the other before you go over i will say i messed up a good set of pipes just trying to stay up with the crowd. i saw a guy with a passenger on the back go by the store at the top, on one wheel and it didnt sound like he was letting off of it when he went out of site .

Rutnut why did you get rid of your Harley? MY OLD HOUSE HAD A DOWN HILL GRAVEL DRIVEWAY AND I WAS AFRAID I MIGHT LAY IT DOWN SO I NEVER RODE IT. NEW HOUSE HAS BLACK TOP LEVEL DRIVE AND GREAT ROADS TO RIDE ON. WENT AND BOUGHT A HONDA JUST TO HAVE SOMETHING TO RIDE BUT I REALLY LIKE THIS LITTLE BIKE. THERE WILL BE A HARLEY LATER ON.

I was watching Fox News and they were discussing stocks....and Harley Davidson being the one discussed.....Harley accessories, such as clothing, boots, hats, etc....were on a bigger rise than the actual bike sales...so my opinion being is I think people get the bikes so they can wear the "Harley" attire...but I can't say that I Blame them...I have owned some killer Harley shirts....;)

Harley attire has always been very popular. I have several t-shirts in my closet. I suppose they mean more to you if you can actually wear them while riding a Harley.
