Bushhogging just makes these 2 trees come back thicker.Burning seems to work best.I burn my native warm season grass about every 3 years but I can't seem to keep up with these trees!!Anybody got any ideas?

Cut locust between the first of November to the end of March and put some stump killer on it. I've been told that this will keep a locust from coming back. Don't know about a hedge apple.

honey locust is one of the best firewoods you can find...you have to swipe the tree a time or two to get rid of the thorns it burns very hot, last forever ..in fact i just put a stick in the stove....this also helps with land improvement

I think it's black locust that makes good firewood and wildlife feed.

Perrymax, If you're going to bush hog a lot of brush check out the flat proof tires for replacing the fronts on your tractor. Not really expensive and pay for their selves with savings on blood pressure medications.[:D]
