to have this option/function
on some of the other forums i visit if you see a topic you can hold the cursor over the thread link and it will give you the first or second sentence that way it'll save from having to click on each post to see what inside...

anyone know what im talking about?

this saves you alot of time in a hurried visit...

I know it's not what you are asking for, but in the tool bar there is an option

"Display Modes", you can select "Hybrid" and it will show the original and then give opening line of every post after that.
