Next time you're car camping and in the mood for a dessert, take an apple, core it, stuff some cinnamon and brown sugar down in the hole, and put a slice of butter on top. Wrap it up in heavy duty aluminum foil and throw it in some coals for probably 15 minutes. Check it often by sticking a knife in it, take it out of the fire while it's still a tad bit firm. DO NOT overcook it, it will turn to mush and you'll be lapping up apple soup.
