With all the rain, and weather changes and such hows the Bassin' been?

I've been going regulary, with slow results. Seen alot of Muddy water and inactive fish.

Had one locked into a tube yesterday and then ripped it out of his mouth, Good fish too, I saw him. Only Bite I had from 5:00 PM till about 9:00 PM.

Whatcha' catching em' on?

Side note, A buddy went after the red ears today and wore em' out real shallow, about 1' of water.

I am about to go nuts to et after them. We have been so busy on the farm that I haven't had time to even think about going. You guys keep me in mind when you lock horns with a big ole large jaw. I will be out there soon.

Lab, I'm just the opposite of you, I've been neglecting all duties for time with a pole....

I ain't got the cameras out, checked or hung stands I've planned etc....

Good thing I don't rely on the Farm for a living, I'd be in trouble....

Bout' time for another fishing get-together.

Bout' time for another fishing get-together.

I was just thinking about that today. We need to try and get another cookout planned. They seem to get better and better each time we have one.

I hit the pond this afternoon for about 15 minutes. One the third cast I caught one of around five pounds. Unhooked it released it. A few cast later I got ahold of one that went darn near wherever it wanted. Might have been one of the big channels as I never seen it. It broke the eye the split ring goes thru on the lure. Now yall are not going to believe this but I swear it's true. The lure I was casting was a original Big-O out of my old lure collection. Yellow and black in color. I got a lure cabinet one of my daughters gave me a few years back hanging over one end of the whirlpool tub in the master bath with several old lures in it. Three are big-O's, the yellow one, a red one and a purple one. I have been looking at those lures thinking about giving the Big-O's a try to see if they would still catch fish..Now I know.

I haven't been since Saturday. I caught one that weighed over four and one that weighed around three out of a farm pond. I will probably go again this weekend. They were really hammering the weightless red shad worms.

They hit much of nothing today,..........

Fished a good bit, Long enuff to get a sunburn (odd for me since I'm out so much)

Landed about 6 slab sized bluegill off of the ol' Locust, and had one Bass pick up a Tube and go, Thought I set the hook,.......Guess I missed? I saw him, Probally a 2-3# fish. Otherwise a slow day, but it sure beats working!!!

Haven't been able to get out yet, but the BassMasters guys are in town. One guy got his limit of 5 fish, but they only weighed around 10 pounds, and the biggest fish was 3 lbs. 10 oz. I hope they find some big ones soon, I'm going to watch the weigh in Friday night I think.

Yesterday the fishing was pretty slow. I caught a few small ones on a weightless black and silver worm. Then I switched to a buzz bait and caught one small one and one that weighted around 3 pounds. I fished for most of the day and didn't have much luck.

Sunday the bass wouldn't hit a black and silver worm. Red and black was still the color to use. I switched to it and caught one and lost one withing a few minutes.

I was catching the bluegills all day on worms Sunday and didn't have time to try the bass, but the girlfriend caught a 15 inch largemouth during the short period she fished for them. I caught the biggest bullhead I've ever had the displeasure to see and some perch as well. It was lots of fun!

Caught 7 bass this evening in a hard fished farm pond. Caught 7 fish in roughly 30 minutes, 2 dinks, the other 5 were in the 3 to 4 pound range.

well ive got all the time to fish so in the day heat about 1 to about 4 ive been using some kind of crank bait to go a bit deeper... ive also had good luck on a rattle trap... but in the morning hours and night hours 5 to 9 ive been using a garlic injected salty white fluke... they have strike king of them and theyve been working but ive been using ponds to do this in... and at night u can always go to the ol' realable buz bait...
