I can see where the article is coming from. I am a student in college and I would venture to say that half of the students have never shot or even handled a firearm. I think there should be more educational opporitunities for youth to get envolved with the outdoors. What that would be I am not sure. The one thing I do know is that hope is not lost and you can usually find atleast one person that says they would like to get envovled and with a little help for a peer they usually get envolved. To everyone that is trying to get others envolved keep up the good work.

[:(]Sad but true. It's unfortunate, however you can make a difference, believe it or not. Each time you go out, try to take someone along. Whether it's your own kids, someone from work, or even a buddys kid.

I see where the story is true, Myself I am 26 and couldn't imagine a life that doesn't include hunting & the outdoors. I often wonder what people who don't hunt do during the spring and fall.

I've got friends who have never seen the sunrise in the woods or have ever expeirenced the outdoors come alive at dawn. I couldn't imagine what there would be without my outdoor heritage. Those other people don't know what their missing.[:D]
