I am guessing that from the lack of responses on this site, that no one has ever tried it yet. I intend to try it and I'll let you know.

I just returned from Peabody last night. It was a tough trip with all this weather. On Sunday afternoon from 1:30 until 6:30 p.m. I called in three and shot one coyote. It was s small female about 28#. Pelt in very good shape.
I will definitely go there again.

STR8,
What tract were you hunting? What calls did you use?? Electronic or mouth calls?? You do any howling after dark? Locate many packs?? See any bobcats? Run into any other yote hunters??[8D]

Hunted on the Ken Hopewell area. I used JS Cottontail in Distress in an e-caller. Howled a few times, no answers. I did run into two guys from Hazard who were coyote hunting too. They said they saw two earlier in the day but missed.
I did not see any bobcats.

That's a good area for huntin' yotes. Although you will probably get quite a bit of competition during better weather.
