A lot of turkey hens are settin', please don't mow/bushhog if you don't have to. Sure make yah sick to see a nest full of turkey eggs ruined. Most will be hatched out by early June.

i never allow my fields to be mowed until around june/july i usually start seeing chicks around memorial holiday...ALSO alot of fawns get mowed over at the same time

It's good to wait as long as you can as well as for the song-birds who might only have that tall grass for cover.

We wont mow our fields until june. Ill be doing some yote hunting this weekend. I try to help the turkeys out as much as possible. 1/4 of all turkey nest will be completley hatched... pretty low numbers!
