Does anybody know if they take reservations at Hillman Ferry campground. I looked at the LBL website and didn't see anything on there one way or the other.

they are a first come first serve basis. been down that road before. this time of year, don't try to pull in on a friday afternoon and get a spot. will be filled up year ago this coming weekend. i had to go a day early and get to spots foe myself and family coming in from georgia. go if you can, nicest place i've ever camped. and perfect for kids of all ages. not just anyone can drive through this campgroung. must go through security first and be checked in at gate. i love it there. will be there weekend after next!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :)

All I can say is if you get in, Welcome to Kentucky Lake, if not there are other camp grounds in LBL most are almost primitive but several have electric so come on in and enjoy one of the most beautiful areas on earth.

Nothing to do with a dry county now... it's in a federal forest.
They catch you with booze in LBL now you're gonna get a hefty ticket. Saw one of their LEOs pop over a half a dozen people in one stop this spring.

Yep, friend of mine was in camp in deep woods, all chilled out with a bottle of Makers setting on the table. Bingo! $200.00 ticket.:(

Ok, serious for a second. No alcohol at all at Hillmans Ferry? Not even beer?
If so I'm glad I read this post, because I always take alcohol down with me!

Serious as a heart attack.
If one of the fed LEOs rolls through and spies you sucking down a cold one in LBL.. you're getting a hefty ticket.
May be like a lot of other stuff and depend on what kind of day he's having but the majority of the new patrol I've met are not of particularly good humor.
