Tagged out at last. This morning, hearin only one gobble twice from 1/2 mile. I eased over to where i been seeing most of the jakes. Sure enuf, when i got there, two hens were in the field. Both were simply pickin & preenin. I eased up against a tree and let out some clucks. They hardly glanced over from where they stood, perhaps 100yds. Not long tho here come one black lookin bird then another. Glassin them i saw they were jaspers. But here they come, not on a run or nuttin, but easin. Turned out 2b 7 jakes and the back bird was a BIG jake, ah-ho! Beard a swingin. When he got to within 35 yds i let'er rip. Hardly a flop as birds scattered all over. There were more i didn't see. The bird turned out 2b a 2 yr old with a 7 inch beard & 1/2 spurs. Little head tho, so it may be an old jake of sorts. Since my camera hasn't made it's way home from the prom:mad: no pics. Everytime u don't have a camera, ya see things. Had a white skunk pas by:eek: not 40yds earlier. Now i can rest! Im tuckered;)

Camera has been lent out. It went to the Prom Saturday nite and then home with the date and still ain't got ahold of it:mad: What a bummer too as i had several photo ops this mornin, including a white skunk,a doe at 20yds, a tree full of buzzards with thier wings out(wierd) like they were pinned to the tree.

Ahead of ya there;) It's a great feeling as u know. Rarely have to go this long, i blame three weeks off. Too much time to jerk around when u kill the first one early. Anyway, this buds for all of you who WENT;)

Congrats!I tagged out yesterday and was so use to getting upand hunting I woke up and started getting dressed at 4:00 this morning before I remembered I was done.
