Finally bagged my first bird!

Well, since starting this addiction I have been wondering if I would ever bag the elusive wild turkey. Finally , today at about 5:05pm this 15 pound tom walked out of the edge of the field and met his demise from the end of a Benelli Nova with 3 1/2 inch Winchester Supremes #6's. Although light, the bird had 1 inch spurs and a 9 1/2 inch beard. I'm just glad I didn't let Nutcase outdo me. He killed one about a week ago when I was with him. Both birds came from LBL. I heard if you can kill one on LBL you can kill one anywhere. Since the birds have been quiet lately, I tried the ole ambush method without calling. I knew there were birds in the area so I gambled and took off right after work. Although it was a great experience, I will be looking to call one in next year. I'm hooked! Thanks for all the help on this forum. Now, I'm gonna set my sights on my first deer. Can't wait till fall. :D

Due to my inability to put pics in on Sunday, I wrote the description up then, saved it in a text file, copied it over when I figured it out on Monday, and forgot to change today to yesterday. Sorry about that. The excitement still has me tore up.
