Anyone know where I can buy a wingbone call here in KY? I was kind of wanting to buy from an individual instead of a company if you know what I mean.

yeah. What exactly are you looking for? I make simple wingbones, or fancy ones made of deer antler. I'll post a couple pics

I bought one from skindog back around Christmas for my uncle man was it nice. He knew how to use it and made it sing. The quality was unbelievable and the price was not near what you see them sale for from other makers. I would get one from him if you are seriuos about getting a quality call at a discounted price!

$45.00 and that includes shipping. I have a couple done now. One is very similar to the one at the very top but the joints are wrapped in green thread. I also have one that is all wingbone with the center section wrapped in hemp and it is stained. It has a simple lanyard that would be nice to display spurs on. Like an idiot I didn't save any wings this year. I've been really busy with the other portion of my call company and haven't had much time to fool with wing bones. Justin, thanks for the compliments.

This link will get you started. I don't bleach my bones though. I use peroxide instead. Just soak em in it for a day or so and they'll be nice and white. Try to clean the bones asap and get all of the meat and marrow out. If not the grease from the marrow will stain the bone. http://www.jesseshunting.com/wingbone-call.html

They are very difficult to use and probably require more practice than any other type of call. I can do a decent yelp and cluck on em but thats about it. I had told myself I was gonna try and take a bird this year with one, but I never broke one out. I'll eventually do it just so I can say I did.
