Does any one know where I can get seed for habitat improvement. I want to plant it on about 2 acres, and kill the fescue. I prefer the prairie grasses, but will take what advice I can get. Thanks

check with the KDFWR, the WHIP or Back Yard wildlife programs.

Also, you can talk to your county agent, and see if he has any suggestions. Awhile back a buddy of mine got a certificate to get 100lbs of goldenrod seed and 100lbs of alfalfa to plant from his county agent in Breckenridge county.

WildLife Habitat Improvement Program does a 75/25 cost share. Generally, you labor covers you 25.
