A couple of years ago, I went to the Bluegrass Bucks & Beards in Lex. That was in late summer. Last year, I went to the KY Deer Classic in Greenville, also in late summer. Enjoyed myself at both.

NWTF Ntl Convention Feb 14-16, Nashville.
I am not a spectator of nature, but rather a participant; a hunter.

I went to the Jim Strader and the ky deer clasic. I enjoyed both but I think the cost to get in is a little steep. I did enjoy meeting new people in the outdoor business.

If nashville isn't too far for you, the NWTF is a good show, as is Jim Strader's. I think the NWTF is $5 perday, I KNOW it's $15 for a three day general admission, which gets you into the trade show, the seminars and the calling contests. There is a taxidermy contest, call making contest, art contest and silent auction within the trade show, and I'd guess there are close to fifty custom call makers there, along with retailers of every type of commercial call, camo, gun, shell, boot, etc. There is quite a bit of stuff not related strictly to turkey hunting. Very little, if any, fishing.
