I found this place in Ashland today some of you all might have heard of it before. I'm not sure exactly how to explain it. Its like three buisnesses in the same building, Obriens Archery, they have a shop and a place to shoot spots. Then there is Extreme 3d range where they have shots up to what looked like 45-50 yards. And in the same building they manufacture The Extreme sights. Anyways it seems to be a really nice place to shoot. They shoot 3d on tue, thurs, fri, and tournaments on sat. Can't wait to shoot there.
Directions: Get on I 64E to exit 183 turn left on US 60 go about a mile and its on the right.

Xcutter, try calling Curt Steele at 474-4225 or Larry Hylton at 474-5640 for info on the Trophy Hunters Archery Club shoot in Grayson. Our club , East Kentucky Archery should be ready by mid Feb if the weather will cooperate with us, the range will be split into two halfs of 15 targets and will be a little different from last year, we will set stakes per IBO
recommended yardages, we plan to give archery items for awards this season rather than trophies.

Its starting to look like GWBH and I might have some places to shoot this season. It all depends on how far the wallet will allow us to travel!!! I heard that Whitetail Archery was still going to have there range this year, and they were starting in Feb. But I have not heard the details.

X-cutter, you and Great White better study hard as well. If I hear of any more failing grades I am going to take a 6ft. light action fishing pole to both of your's hind end! Great White remembers that well I'm sure.
I have several friends who have graduated from Morehead. You two little turds better join the ranks!!! It takes money to play and as much as you two like to play you better get some diplomas......Orders from Uncle X[;)][:(!]

Xtreme, I have a son at UK so I am familiar with college "motivation", since I'm just a half hour from Morehead, if you need any help in the "motivational" dept, I'll be glad to assist.[:D]
Actually, those guys at Extreme Archery in Ashland are all right. I used to service their accounts and provided some start up financing. They have a good product, facilities and mangement, and deserving of bowhunters support.

I do appreciate the offer there grouseguy![:D] Nathan[highbow] and tagged out help me keep an eye on these two as well. I daresay your presence could come in handy[;)]
Your right about those Extreme guys, I've met em at a few shows. I may get one of their scopes here soon. They have two things I like already, an X-treme type of name and are our own Ky. boys. Throw in keeping an eye on my two favorite Morehead collegiate clowns and they have to be a winner.[;)][:D]

DUCKHUNTER, THERE USE TO BE A RANGE RIGHT NEAR MOREHEAD BUT I'm not sure what happened with it. There is a club around Maysville Area just off the AAA Highway and another near Foster in Henry Co. Not much else I know of. The one in Grayson is your close one and they have a great bunch of guys to shoot with, I usually go over there a few times each year.Brandi Boggs and her mom and dad Randy Boggs shoot there too.

duckhunter, the club that KY_Xcutter was talking about (Whitetail Archery) is on HWY-32 about 2 miles west of I-64 just out of Morehead. Xcutter introduced me to the range last year & cleaned my plow at the same time[V] He promised to let us know when thier next shoot is[:D]
Xtreme, those young bucks can be tough to keep up with some times, I'll watch out best I can though.

Hey X, what do you say about us NOT giving them anymore archery meetings or fishing holes until they post their mid-term grades???
Being at Morehead and being a fisherman/hunter goes TOOOOOOO well together. Been there, done that!!! Some of the best times of my life.
Boys, buckle down.

Hey guys, Thanks for looking out for us.
I can say one thing College is not exactly for me but one thing is for sure I always finish what I start, and i do mean that. gsp you are right being in the middle of the DBNF it is hard to keep my mind on studying. We got deer, gobs of turkeys, plenty of places to fish and a few places to shoot now. Man its hard to study!!! No need to pull out any 6ft light action fishing poles though. I've never been hit by one But i heard "the story" OUCH!!!! Xtreme great minds think alike cause i had my eye on one of extremes new sights as well. Them boys are some serious archers out there And they have a good looking product. As for Whitetail archery range I don't know what the deal is. I was told not long ago that they were still going to shoot and that they were going to put out some flyers but I have not seen any yet I'll keep you guys that are interested in the range informed on whatever I find out.
Thanks again
Aaron
What are you felows majoring in? Also, one of you posted a picture of a rock last year that had a "foot print" in it. What was that?

GSP I am majoring in Environmental Science. I'm not exactly sure what i want to do yet but there is about a million routes I can take. As for the foot print in the rock that was another feller, Oxmos. He posts on here every once in a while. I don't beleive that it was a foot print. It was just some kind of coincedence(?) I believe one of our Geology teachers told him that around the time the rock was formed there was no human beings. At least one that would make a print of that type.(i think thats right but i could be lying)
