We got up at 3:00am this morning drove down to the Peabody WMA to listen at a promising spot I found last week . When we got to the property boundry we were greeted by a big sign that said " Everything beyond this point is leased tresspassers will be prosecuted." Talk about short notice! I wonder how much more we'll lose between now and Friday. Tom

Sure it wasn't a joke? I've seen people put "posted" or "leased" signs up on lands to keep em' all to themselves.

I thought the same thing till I drove past the first BIG sign and down the road a couple hundred yards. There were signs on both sides of the road about every 30 or 40 yds. It didn't have the look of a hoax. I didn't want to risk a night in the county bed and breakfast to find out for sure. Turk it was on the Alston tract. Tom

That is strange to do right before turkey season, hopefully for you it is a hoax and gets straightened out before your season starts.

Give the local CO a call and find out for sure, if it is a haox, he'll be ripping down some signs and hopefully writing some tickets
