Willie, are you using string silencers or anything to make the bow quieter?

I'm not Willie [thank god].....just kidding:D If you want to quiet down your xbow measure about three fingers from your cams and wrap a piece of 2 inch duct tape around your string as tight as you can. This will help remove oscillation of the string and will not fly off like string leaches. It's cheap also:D
If you want me to come by sometime and show you some simple things as well as very economical ways to eliminate noise just holler.
The duct tape trick usually adds a few fps of speed as well.[It does on vertical bows anyway]

I can vouch for the duct tape, it does work. Brass string nocks will add some speed to your arrow also. I usually start about 4 inches from the cams on my bow but since the xbow is a little more compact you might try 2-3 inches. Move them after each shot through the chrono. Find the spot that picks you up the most speed and crimp them down. If you want to cover the nocks you can put heat shrink over them. The heavier the bolt the quieter it will be also!!!

some xbow company should take note of the string supressor design on the mathews outback legacy and switchback and put it to use on a xbow. That would be the trick.

seems they say noise reduction = less speed!

Actually the duct tape and the string nocks will pick you up a few feet in most cases if they are in the right spot. Those big puffy yarn balls will slow it down and they get wet and so on.
