I understand that the way that I went about this was all wrong. I'm sure its not the first time someones mouth overran their brain in anger. I apologize to anyone that I may have offended.:o But I will still disagree with the crossbow issue until i see some seasoned #'s. As said many times by others. I don't want anyone to think that I am selfish cuz i'm not. I don't care if you hunt with a bazooka as long as its not going to affect the deer herd, or turkey for that matter!!!

Good enough....we all do that at times.

Here's my opinion. We have three outsatnding biologists that have looked hard at this issue. You have Gassett who is a sharp tack in anybodies box. You have his protege Jonathon Dey, who knows the deer herd pretty well, and then Jim Lane. these guys are going to stand aside and let all their work go for naught. You can bank on it that if something weird happens and things get out of whack, you'll see imediate changes to fix the problem. From all indications, the deer herd is sound in most areas and getting better in the others. We even have one of your allies hitting another deer with his truck just this week. Crossbow will not make any noticable change in the deer herd. As for turkeys, fall mortality has never been an issue. Bowhunters kill less than 900. Crossbowers will see similar numbers. It's still not a weapon that will kill mass numbers of turkeys, no matter what myth you look at.
