View Full Version : Warm Weather
I've noticed it seems whenever the weather warms up, the gobbling shuts down. Especially atypical warm mornings. Has anyone else noticed this? I'm guessing as warm as it's been lately, it'll probably carry over to 4/15 and maybe the Toms won't be as active.

I guess maybe somewhat, sometimes. Depends on how lonely they are I guess. The mornings are usually the coolest time, so they seem to go most mornings, and if you don't hear them, they are probably just in a different spot that morning.

I also realized that, its pretty confusing! Since saturday morning, its been really warm and the birds havent been gobbling as good. Ive only been hearing about 10-12 birds every morning. Usually, i will hear at least 15 birds. When it was pretty cold out in the mornings, i was hearing 15-20 birds. Yesterday afternoon i did see a total of 42 birds. Today i saw about 30. it was very beautiful, 15 gobblers strutting beside eachother with sun shining in their tail fan, i got it on video too. I know the birds are here. I have been hearing the birds gobbling on the ground alot though. I think the warm weather has them in the mood, and they are with the hens on the roost so they dont gobble. Just a guess...
