Check out this thread from AT. This Weaver kid from Texas is like 10 and his parents own a guide service. Check out his hunt pics. There's even one of him with The Nuge. Kid probably thinks everybody gets to hunt buffalo!

One of the best hunting quotes I have ever heard and it came from a 10 yr old kid,
"I don't use fancy bow gear. I have one pin and I hold for distance. I like to keep it easy so I don't get confused in the moment of truth."

I have a hard time buying that one, at least not fair chase anyway. I highly doubt hes the one posting pics on the net, have a feeling his mommy or daddy is taking care of that for him.
I'm sure the kid can shoot, but I doubt were getting the full story.

I'm sure someone will get to the bottom of this for us.

I hope so.......I'm about to give up bow hunting.....hell, I'm lucky to hit a doe walking 10 yards from the stand and he's shooting buffalo at age 10. sigh.....thank goodness there is always fishing. :(

I hope you give bowhunting some more time. It will come to you. I got really disheartened about it when I hit a real bruiser a couple years ago and never found him. I never found the arrow, blood, deer, no nothing. No one ever found him, but we haven't seen him either, but maybe he doesn't look the same. I hope I just plain missed and didn't really hit him and my arrow deflected way off or something. Last year I had 3 big bucks within bow range and never drew. I kept telling myself it wasn't the right time to draw, and then I never got a shot, but I think I was just worried about another bad shot, so I am going to hit the shooting a lot this year and leave no doubt in my mind that I am going to hit right where I am aiming.

Run the operation his parents set up and never really enjoy hunting without the thought of work!

I only say that because I know someone like this

I don't see how anyone could get sick of hunting, but I know people that it has happened to as well. Especially starting at such a young age, he might be burned out by the time he can start driving if he is being pushed to do it. If he is doing it on his own, I think he will like it just fine.

He's for real. Check the thread again, he's added some more pics and stories. His dad is a blue collar guy and they just book hunts part-time in exchange for free hunting trips.
