I hunt in carter, elliott, and lawerance counties. I was brought up hunting the hills and hollows of elliott county. I have hunted walkers, redbone, and english ( both red and blue english ). I like the blue english better, but that is just my preference. My dad has hunted english redtick since the early 80's, but just last fall he breed his old female to a blue dog. Pups were born in late november, 2 open color and 6 dark blue and he loves the blue pups.

Shannon, Would love to hunt other states but work limits me to only a selected few areas around the house. I have three young dogs that I try to keep in the woods every night. I hunt some feeders around the house through the week, but on the weekends I try to take a little bigger hunt. Would love to hunt some of your flat country, but do not have any where down there to hunt.

Howdy,
I am from the Floyd Co. area and I have hunted a lot of places up in there....But for the past few years, I have lived in central KY and now I have a few places around here to hunt....It's a whole lot easier, plus I believe there a lot more coons in this part of the state......Every few months, I do come up there and go to places like Floyd Co, Morgan, Johnson, ect....There are some good hollers around those counties to hunt in....Well.......don't tree 'em all...leave some for the rest of us.
