It has been discussed on the Excalibur forum about having an annual shoot/rendezvous for members to meet and compete. As a follow up to the suggestion, a few members have been in touch with, and are working with DJH to come up with a set of rules for 3-D shoots for crossbow hunters .
We're also discussing having perhaps more than one shoot, since the Excalibur forum members come from around the globe, and it might be just too far and difficult for a lot of people to attend.
I thought perhaps the KY forum members might be interested in the possibility of attending such an event, or even having a similar event to help publicize and promote ethical crossbow hunting.
If there is interest, perhaps even another (already a couple of us involved ;) ) experienced crossbow hunter/shooter from this forum would like to help in making a set of rules for such events. The plan is to keep the rules very basic and simple, and to include all legal hunting crossbows, and to make the shoots for fun and hunting practice, not to compete for big $$$$$ and fame:)
