Clean Shot Powder ?

anybody shooting clean shot powder? I have not tried it yet but i like some of the things i read about it,than i hear that some people are not geting the same velocity out of it as they was with pyrodex or black powder.like 200 fps slower.

I shoot the Clean Shot pellets, having switched from Pyrodex last year. Having shot quite a bit, I can't tell that there's any difference in velocity, but there is a BIG difference in the mess. I can shoot 10 to 15 times with Clean Shot without any significant fowling of the barrel. Cleanup is a breeze, also. Not that it was a big consideration, but the Clean Shot cost me a little less as well. I can tell you that I won't be shooting Pyrodex anymore.

You may not be able to shoot Cleanshot pellets anymore due to patent infringement lawsuit. With Goex's Clearshot line going up in smoke last October we all may have to go back to the black stuff. Although Hodgdon is introducing a new powder at the shot show in February. Triple 7 is suppose to be just what the in-line crowd wants.

After reading your post, I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to find Cleanshot pellets anymore, so I went to my local Homestead. They had plenty. Nobody there knew anything about the infringement lawsuit. I bought 5 containers of pellets just to be sure but saw no sign that Cleanshot had discontinued the pellets.
