The Spring meeting of the Second District Federation will be held Tuesday evening, April 5th, 2005 at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be hosted by the Muhlenberg County Conservation Club at Lake Malone. A meal will be served at a nominal charge and members are encouraged to bring their spouse, family, friends and anyone interested in the great outdoors!
The Second District is made up of the following counties - Allen, Butler, Daviess, Hancock, Henderson, Hopkins, Logan, McLean, Muhlenberg, Ohio, Simpson, Todd, Union, Warren, and Webster.
Any club wishing voting rights at the League convention must first join the Federation of it's District. Federation dues are $10 per club annually and are due at the April meeting or may be mailed to the address below.
Clubs also need to be members of the League of Kentucky Sportsmen. Member clubs comprised of 25 paid members to the KY League of $6 each. Each member club is entitled to send two (2) voting delegates to the League convention. At the Convention, resolutions are voted on which are recommendations to the commission for regulations concerning fish and wildlife. With more clubs involved, our unified voices will be much stronger with the Department of Fish and Wildlife as well as Kentucky legislation. We invite all sportsmen's clubs to join the Second District Federation as well as the League of Kentucky Sportsmen to strengthen our voice.
