The Spring meeting of the Second District Federation will be held Tuesday evening, April 5th, 2005 at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be hosted by the Muhlenberg County Conservation Club at Lake Malone. A meal will be served at a nominal charge and members are encouraged to bring their spouse, family, friends and anyone interested in the great outdoors!

The Second District is made up of the following counties - Allen, Butler, Daviess, Hancock, Henderson, Hopkins, Logan, McLean, Muhlenberg, Ohio, Simpson, Todd, Union, Warren, and Webster.

Any club wishing voting rights at the League convention must first join the Federation of it's District. Federation dues are $10 per club annually and are due at the April meeting or may be mailed to the address below.

Clubs also need to be members of the League of Kentucky Sportsmen. Member clubs comprised of 25 paid members to the KY League of $6 each. Each member club is entitled to send two (2) voting delegates to the League convention. At the Convention, resolutions are voted on which are recommendations to the commission for regulations concerning fish and wildlife. With more clubs involved, our unified voices will be much stronger with the Department of Fish and Wildlife as well as Kentucky legislation. We invite all sportsmen's clubs to join the Second District Federation as well as the League of Kentucky Sportsmen to strengthen our voice.

here's another release with a little more info -

Fellow Sportsmen:

The spring meeting of the Second District Federation will be held April 5th,
2005 at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be hosted by the Muhlenberg Co.
Conservation Club, at Lake Malone at the Club house. A meal will be served
at a nominal charge and members are encouraged to bring their spouse,
family, friends and anyone interested in the great outdoors! This is a great
time to meet other clubs. Talk, listen and learn.

This is the last meeting prior to the June Convention of the League of KY
Sportsmen. The 70th Annual League's Convention will be held on June 11 - 13
, More information will be available at the spring meeting.

Due to a small attendance at the fall meeting it was decided to wait till
the Spring meeting to hold Election of League Rep, President, Vice
President, Secretary Treasurer.

There is over 60 clubs in the Second District. Surprisingly, only 10 clubs
are currently paying the $10 per club annual membership fee. With our
hunting rights constantly under attack, prevailing gun bans, and decreasing
funds from federal levels to support wildlife programs, it is more important
now than ever to have input and support from all clubs in the Second
District. The Second District Federation needs your support to ensure the
quality of outdoor recreation in hunting and fishing, as well as
conservation methods for wildlife.

Any club wishing voting rights at the League convention must first join the
Federation of its' District. Federation dues are $10 per club annually and
are due at the April meeting or may be mailed to me at the address below.

I look forward to hearing from you and seeing you at the spring meeting.
Bring a friend.

Sincerely,

Mitchell B. Howard, Secretary
Second District Federation

lol,

Turk, here's a "ps" on those directions. After you get on HW 973 for about a mile or two, it takes a hard curve to the left, there's another road at this same place that goes straight ahead, you'll need to go to the left here, and not straight.

It's really just staying on the main road, but it might throw you.
