Hippos are the responsible for more killings in Africa than any other species, including buffs and lions. Hippos are more territorial, more fearless, and usually hidden in the water until too late.

Those guys put a lot of meat on the ground. Do you think it all gets et by the local villagers? I would hope so.

I thought the little video was ridiculous. My wife would say that Sullivan is compensating.:D I know what a double rifle looks like, I know what big-ass nitro cartridges look like, I even know what a man's crotch looks like, since I carry one around with me. I don't need to see that stuff in a video.I don't have a problem with people shooting buff, or even hippo, and I guess videoing the killing is OK too. But the badass posing at the start was nauseating. I'd steer clear of that bozo if I were planning a hunt. Cowboys get people killed.

I have friends that have gone to Africa to hunt and shown me the videos, and I'll spare you the details. I don't have much respect for those guys. It's all about money and bragging rights I think. There are just some animals that I respect too much to just go out and wack so I have a cool story and a nice picture. I just don't think I could shoot an Elephant or a lion for fun. I guess it would be a worthy hunt if I could take a big Cape Buff. with a bow, but I got the feeling I will never get the chance, my balls aren't that big.:D

That was a disgusting display! Anti-hunters would love to have that video in their arsenal to make us all look bad! Whenever that guy's gun misfires he will have exactly what he gets coming to him.
